In most cases, fish for freshwater aquarium isn’t as bright as their tropical saltwater fish counterpart. However, there are beautiful specimens out there that you can opt for. Blue

This is a typical color among saltwater tropical fish but, there are other freshwater fish that exhibits brilliant blue and bold hues. Red

These fish can grow to a max of 4 inches in length and at the same time, has this dark and deep red color. Oftentimes, they have black on their fins as well.

Green

Green isn’t among the common colors that you can find in an aquarium but there are fish species that have such coloration. For example, green tiger barb is one of the color variant of tiger barb which is well known for its striped pattern. Green tiger barb as the name suggests has emerald green tint to its body along with a fluorescent sheen.
