There are various clay used for sculpture, often times results also varies in the type of clay you are using. However, you just have to make sure that you are using the right clay for the type of output you wanted to achieved.

Choose Your Clay

Oil based modelling clay can appear redefined and is also tricky to use for sculpting that has details in the work. Polymer based modelling clay too is equally soft and can be baked in a household oven to fix your desired composition, although it might also be prone to cracking.

Envision Your Desired Piece

Before even starting, you need to make sure that you have already set goals on the piece that you wanted to achieve. It is ideal that you have a clear idea of how you want the final sculpture to look like. Make sketches and imagine viewpoints and projections.
