trois gymnopedies (3rd installment)

Satie’s Gynmopedie No. 1, with a Debussy afterthought ("The Snow Is Dancing") since he famously arranged it.  All switched on by Ruth White.

satie

for those of you who don’t go on the messageboard, earl future (pete’s brother) posted his own version of satie’s gymnopedie no 1:

"A while back there were a bunch of posts linking different versions of Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 and I happened to be learning it for a piano class. So now here’s my chopped and screwed + distorted futuristic version. I don’t have a sustain pedal on my keyboard so it’s impossible to play it right, but since I recorded this one I’ve learned to play it a lot better and I will take requests for different styles to play/record it. Then I will post them here for your enjoyment. "
